Carnival of Creators

June 14, 2007 · 3 Comments

I volunteered a couple months ago to host the Carnival of the Creators, and sat back and watched all of these awesome links pour in from some really creative people. Here we go…

Christine Kane gives a witty account of How to Get Nothing Done. This is some good stuff. My kinda writing Christine! If you’d rather accomplish something you might want to check 10 Steps to Better Efficiency in Your Day to Day Life. I warn you though, you are hit with the sound of music and someone trying to get you to download a free something-or-other. But the tips are still there.

Laura Young presents Are you Creative? Developing Your Creativity, Part 1. What were you taught about creativity while growing up? And Tristan L. Sullivan shares a little of his creative writing titled Paradise.

The link that Harriett Hilton submitted didn’t work (so I don’t know what specific post she’d like to have highlighted) but I would like to show you to her creative musings blog at artistic musings.

From the performing arts, Dianne M. Buxton goes into detail about Finding Exactly the Right Fit in Pointe Shoes. I once heard that the Joffrey Ballet dancers use a new set of pointe shoes for every performance. I don’t know if that’s true or not but it sounded good and they deserve a new set every show! Maybe Dianne will comment and let us know if that is fact or fiction.

Joe Szymanski shows us his Top Five Tips For Better Photographs. You will not want to miss these. Now I know what I’ve been doing wrong. Once you solve your own photography mistakes you can follow Christopher Scholl’s post, New places. New photographs on his photographer’s journey blog.

If you’re ready to learn some techniques this week, follow Cyndi Lavin’s Technique Tuesday as she shows you how to make a Fishing for trout! necklace while Miachelle DePiano gives tips on working with Paper Clay and Anastacia shows her Diagonal Shell Stitch Corner to Corner Afghan Tut.

Lastly, Henk ter Heide submitted a few links but there was only room for one. He presents Schedule, updates, upgrades and plugins (Art: Sailing into the sunset) and gives a little insight to his art and autism.

That concludes this edition. Submit your blog article to the next edition of carnival of the creators using the carnival submission form.

Last month’s host was at the Michon Jewelry Blog.  If you would like to host the Carnival of Creators on your own blog, contact Derek at http://blogcarnival.com/bc/uprof_343.html.
